2 November 2007 -- The Solemnity of All Souls: THE HOPE OF RISING WITH CHRIST

In him, who rose from the dead,
our hope of resurrection dawned.
When the body of our earthly dwelling lies in death
we gain an everlasting dwelling place in heaven.
And so, with all the choirs of angels in heaven
we proclaim your glory
and join in their unending hymn of praise:

Holy, holy, holy Lord, God of power and might,
heaven and earth are full of your glory.
Hosanna in the highest.
Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord.
Hosanna in the highest!

Of all the many heartfelt and thought-provoking homilies we are blessed to receive, I think one of your most comforting phrases is: "remember, Christ is with us EVERY step of the way; be it a joyful or sorrowful journey".
